The Tree of Life is located in the Tikal National Park in Peten, Guatemala. I took a guided tour through this magical jungle during my stay in Flores, Guatemala. This tree is so tall that we literally would have walked right past it had our guide not mentioned it. It stands about 100' tall, and it's actual name is the Ceiba Tree. The fluffy puffs you see are actually a vine that wraps itself around the tree. The down fibers from this tree are used to make pillows and cushions.
I've read that this tree is one of the most photographed trees in the world, and it's easy to understand why. Read more about our unforgettable day touring the Tikal Mayan Ruins, here.
